Fogo De Chao - Summerlin, NV

We came here for lunch and enjoyed the salad bar option and skipped the meat on this occasion.

This Fogo De Chao just recently opened in Downtown Summerlin and the service was impeccable. The restaurant was empty so all the servers were extra attentive with refills on drinks, bread, sides and clearing plates.

The salad bar was well stocked but they lacked any soup options, which would have been nice to enjoy as well.

Trattoria Reggiano - Downtown Summerlin

We arrived at Trattoria Reggiano for a group lunch and from start to finish the meal was anything but exceptional.

The restaurant was pretty empty the entire time, but despite this fact service was not as attentive as I would expect.

We ordered a number of appetizers for the table to share, including meatballs, calamari and caprese salad. I only tried the meatballs and caprese salad, nether of which  were remarkable in the least.

For my entree I decided to steer clear of the pastas and pizzas and offered the salmon with vegetables. Both the vegetables and salmon lacked flavor and I had no desire to eat everything.

The whole table seemed unimpressed with their food so I wasn't alone in my assessment. I don't see myself returning for any reason.

Cream - Downtown Summerlin

Looking for dessert after an afternoon at Downtown Summerlin, we ended up at Cream for some ice cream and cookies.

I ordered a cookie sandwich with macadamia nut cookies and coconut ice cream. They warm the cookie which is a nice touch but I didn't care for any of the flavors. The cookies tasted like a regular store bought cookie and be ice cream had an artificial flavor I didn't enjoy. I took a few bites and decided to toss it.

For the price I don't see myself coming back with so many better dessert options around town.

MTO Cafe - Downtown Summerlin

Having been to the original location Downtown I was relatively confident that I would enjoy this location as well. We case here for breakfast today, my mom ordered the Kentucky fried chicken and eggs and I ordered the tri tip and eggs with toasted brioche.

The food took longer than expected to come out and it was with disappointment that I note how little I enjoyed just about everything I tried. The brioche was barely toasted and somewhat cold, the eggs were a soggy mess as were the hash browns and the tri tip was absolutely flavorless. I was forced to douse my entire plate with salt, pepper and chili sauce to give it any sort of flavor whatsoever. My mom's chicken was just as disappointing. The only thing about our meal that I enjoyed was the iced tea which was brewed well and strong.

I have no interest in returning to this location again.
